Here are some of the most common questions we receive. Hopefully you’ll find these helpful, but feel free to contact us if you need other assistance – we’re here to help!
Who’s eligible to join Rock Choir Colorado?
We welcome all adults 16 years and up, regardless of singing background or experience! No auditions and no pressure 🙂
Where is Rock Choir Colorado located?
We have rehearsals in Arvada, Aurora, Broomfield, Boulder, Longmont, Loveland and Thornton in Colorado! Click here for the exact dates, times, director and address at each location.
When and where does Rock Choir Colorado perform?
We always have a performance where all the seven Rock Choirs come together and sing as one large choir at the end of each term. It’s a pretty awesome experience to sing with upwards of 150 other singers! The performance for Spring 2020 will be in the week of April 5-11 ( the exact date and location is still to be confirmed). In the past year, we’ve sung at The Oriental Theater in Denver, and Westminster High School as a fundraiser for music education. We’ve also had bookings for Red Rocks Amphitheater, TEDx, Coors Field, Carnegie Hall, The Paramount Theater, and more. Some pretty cool opportunities arise because of our connection with Cody Qualls and Face Vocal Band 🙂
How much does it cost to join Rock Choir Colorado?
It’s $167 for a term. Registrations are not accepted without payment, so don’t forget to click on the link for SquareUp at the end of the registration form!
What’s your refund policy?
Refunds may be issued up to 3 days after the first rehearsal. No refunds will be issued after the 3-day cutoff. We ask that you please consider all possible conflicts to rehearsals and the performance prior to registering. Thank you!
What kind of songs do we get to sing?
There’s lots of the rock and pop classics that you love, plus some up-to-date chart songs with a sprinkle of original music by Cody Qualls from Face Vocal Band! For example, previous songs we’ve sung include Sweet Caroline, Celebration, We Are Family, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, Happy Together, Some Nights, and Back and Forth.
Do I have to memorize songs?
Yes please … but don’t worry, we’ll give you lots of help along the way to do so! We provide you with sheet music and rehearsal tracks to listen along to at home so you can practice in between rehearsals.
What if I can’t read sheet music?
Firstly … it’s OK! You CAN do this! Here’s Cody talking about surviving in the choir setting when you don’t read sheet music so let’s put your mind at rest…
